INTERNET SET-UP INSTRUCTIONS
High Speed Internet set-up for Windows Vista
- Right click on ‘Network’ either from the desktop icon or the start menu and select ‘Properties’.
- Select ‘Manage network connections’ (it’s a left menu option)
- Right click ‘Local Area Connection’ and select ‘Properties’
- In the ‘This connection uses the following items’ section, uncheck ‘Internet Protocol Version 6 (TCP/IPv6)’.
- Select ‘Internet Protocol Version 4 (TCP/IPv4)’ and click ‘Properties’.
- Click on ‘Use the following IP address:’.
- Enter the IP address assigned to you by your provider.
- Enter the Subnet mask assigned to you by your provider.
- Enter the Default gateway assigned to you by your provider.
- Click on ‘Use the following DNS server addresses:’
- Enter the Preferred DNS server address: 208.38.65.37
- Enter the Alternate DNS server address: 208.38.65.35
- Click ‘OK’ and ‘Close’ and close open windows.
- You may have to restart your PC for changes to take effect.
