Did you know? You can set up your voicemail box with or without a pass code. If security is not a concern, we can set up your voicemail with no pass code for easier and quicker access every time! Call us if you do not want a pass code on your voicemail box.

Initializing Your New Voice Mail Box

(New Users Only)

Dial the voice mail access number, and listen for instructions.

You must call from the telephone line with voicemail on it.

Set your password

The first time you enter your box, the voice mail system will ask you to enter your temporary password. Your temporary password is:   1 2 3 4

You will then be asked to enter a new password of your choice.

Press # to save your new password.

Record a Greeting

Choose one of the following options for a greeting and then follow instructions to complete.

  1. For a standard greeting that gives your telephone number and a message that says you are unavailable, press 1.
  2. For a standard greeting that gives your name and a message that says you are unavailable, press 2.
  3. For a personal greeting that you record press 3.

After you save your greeting, your voice mailbox is set up and ready for messages.

Listen to New Messages First

Enter your password

Press 1, 1.

Your skipped messages will play after the new messages.

Listen to Skipped Messages First

Enter your password

Enter 1.

New messages will play after the skipped messages.

While listening to a message

1 Rewind 10 seconds

2 Pause

3 Fast forward 10 seconds

5 Timestamp (Date & time of message)

0 Help

* Return to main menu

# Skip message

After Listening to a Message

4 Repeat message

5 Timestamp (Date & time of message)

6 Forward message to another voice mailbox.

7 Erase message

8 Reply

9 Save message

0 Help

* Return to main menu

# Skip message

Send a message

At the main menu prompts, press 2 for "to send a message."

State the message after the tone, then press #.

Enter the 10-digit mailbox number.

Press # to send the message.

Enter the next mail box number or

Press * to exit.

Change the Personal Greeting

At the main menu prompts, press 4 for "Personal Options."

Press 3 for "Greetings and Recorded Name."

Press 1 for "Personal Greeting."

Choose one of the three greeting options.

Follow voice mail instructions to change the greeting.

Change the Recorded Mailbox Name

At the main menu prompts, press 4 or "Personal Options."

Press 3 for "Greetings & Recorded Name."

Press 3 for "Recorded Name."

Follow voice mail instructions to change the recorded name.

Change the Password

At the main menu prompts, press 4 for "Personal Options."

Press 2 for "Administrative Options."

Press 1 for "To change password."

Follow voicemail instructions to change the password.

Skip the Personal Greeting to Leave a Message

Press # during the personal greeting.

Leave a message after the tone.

Turn Pager Notification On/Off

(Optional feature that must be activated by NorthStarûplease call to request this added to your line)

At the main menu prompts, press 4 for "Personal Options."

Press 1 for "to turn notification on or off."

Press 1 to turn notification on or

Press 2 to turn notification off.

Set Up/Change Pager Notification Options

(Optional feature that must be activated by NorthStarûplease call to request this added to your line)

At the main menu prompts, press 4 for "Personal Options."

Press 4 for "To change notification options."

Enter the pager number.

Enter the notification hours.

Enter the notification days.

Enter which types of messages you want to be notified on.
