Per Call
'One-Plus Block' with Pin Number
Thank you for
subscribing to the Per Call One-Plus PIN Blocking Feature. This feature
will provide you the capability of blocking all 1+ calls and operator
assisted calls, unless you enter your PIN number before making a
call. Note: This feature does allow 1-800 calls and directory assistance
calls (411) to go through.
A Personal Identification
Number (PIN) s a four digit number that is confidential to you. It
must be four digits long and can be any combination of numbers zero
through nine (0-9). Select a PIN that is easy for you to remember,
keeping in mind that you must remember this PIN, because NorthStar
Access does not have a record of it. For security reasons you must
know your existing PIN in order to change it to a new PIN. If it
is necessary for NorthStar Access to reset your password, you will
be charged a fee.
To use:
Press *12, enter
your old PIN, wait for the beeps, then enter your new PIN, and wait
for the confirmation beeps. The first time you set up, your assigned
PIN is 0000 (four zeros).
Example: *12 0000,
wait for the beeps, 1234, wait for the confirmation beeps and hang
up. You have just changed your PIN from 0000 to 1234.
How to
place a long distance call:
Press *13, enter
your PIN, wait for the dial tone, and the dial the long distance
number using 1+ area code + number.
Example: *13,
1234, wait for dial tone, 1-218-555-1212
