Call Waiting
Thank you for
choosing the Call Waiting feature. Below are the features and instructions
to use Call Waiting.
With Call Waiting
you will not miss any important telephone calls. When you are on
the telephone with one person, you will be notified by a call waiting
tone that there is another call for you to take. Without having to
end your first conversation, you can answer the second call.
To use:
- When you hear
the call waiting tone you can press the Flash Key to put the first
caller on hold.
- You will now
be answering your second call. The first caller will be on hold
and will not be able to hear anything.
- To switch
between callers, you need to press the Flash Key.
- To disconnect
one of the calls, hang up. You will be automatically switched over
to the other caller.
To turn
off Call Waiting before placing a telephone call:
- Prior to placing
a call, you must activate "Cancel Call Waiting".
- Pick up the
receiver and listen for dial tone.
- Dial the activation
code *70.
- A dial tone
will confirm your Call Waiting cancelation for that particular
call.
- Dial the telephone
number you want to call.
- Once you hang
up, Call Waiting is active again.
To turn
off Call Waiting during an existing call:
- While on your
call, quickly press and release the Flash Key.
- Listen for
dial tone.
- Dial *70.
- Listen for
dial tone.
- You will automatically
be reconnected to your existing call
Feature
Considerations:
- You will receive
call waiting tones only when in a talking state, not during dialing,
waiting for an answer, or hearing a busy signal.
- If you do
not answer the second call within 10-30 seconds, then a second
tone is applied. No other tones are applied after the second tone.
